Borealis
Release 2026
Insurers shouldn’t have to choose between speed and control. Borealis delivers both.
Insurity’s latest product release, Borealis, is built for organizations that need to move faster today while operating with greater confidence and consistency as they scale.
Borealis zeroes in on the parts of everyday work that most often create drag, like dense policy screens, large data imports, document-heavy claims processes, litigation tracking, and specialty workflows that require both precision and pace. Instead of layering on complexity, Borealis removes friction, makes information clearer, and strengthens governance so teams can work efficiently and reliably at scale.
Across the platform, the release consistently raises performance where it matters most: increasing throughput for high-volume teams, making experiences more intuitive and easier to use, and reinforcing controls and auditability in areas with the greatest compliance impact.

Introducing Insurity’s Borealis Release:
Bringing Faster Workflows, AI-Enabled Self-Service, and Modernized Experiences Across the Insurance Lifecycle
And for catastrophe response, the Event Response Damage Factors feature adds customizable damage percentages by peril and hazard band, improving claim-reserve accuracy and post-event triage.
With Event Response Save and Restore, analysts can also save and restore event dashboards, ensuring customized filters and visualizations persist for consistent, repeatable insights.
To make these capabilities even easier to access, Single Sign-On (SSO) now connects all SpatialKey applications through one secure login, reducing password fatigue and login errors. Together, these upgrades make analytics not just powerful, but practical, accessible to every part of the insurance value chain.

Policyholder self-audits and self-surveys can stall when questions go unanswered, forcing follow-ups and prolonging completion. Borealis introduces the Insurity Premium Audit AI Assistant to keep audits moving.
With Borealis, policyholders can receive guidance directly from the AI Assistant or connect with a member of the customer’s team while completing self-audits and self-surveys. The result is fewer interruptions, less frustration, and faster completion, helping insurers avoid delays that slow down the audit process and create unnecessary administrative burden.
Premium Audit: AI-Guided Self-Service That Prevents Delays
Borealis modernizes how claims teams work with documents to make review faster, control stronger, and compliance clearer.
In ClaimsXPress, new Attachment Enhancements allow instant, in-browser previews of files without forced downloads. Attachments open in a consistent PDF-based viewer with tools like zoom, rotate, annotate, and print. This keeps teams in their workflow, speeds review, and reduces security risk by avoiding local downloads of sensitive documents.
Claims: Faster Document Workflows with Stronger Control and Compliance
Workers’ Comp: More Flexible Processing and Modern Digital Payments
Marine cargo operations demand efficiency, searchability, and performance, especially in high-volume environments.
Borealis modernizes Insurity Marine Suite with a new Clientside Shipment UI to improve dashboard performance, modernize assured company search and company management, and introduce the ability to generate shipment reports from templates. This provides insurers with a cleaner, faster workflow that improves day-to-day usability for marine teams.
Marine: A Modernized Shipment Experience Built for Speed
Borealis is built around the real work insurers do every day: the high-volume policy transactions, document-heavy claims processes, and complex specialty operations that keep the business running. With this release, Insurity is not just refining workflows, but materially improving how work gets done: reducing friction, embedding smarter automation, and strengthening controls so teams can operate faster, with greater confidence, and at scale without piling on cost or complexity.
Borealis continues Insurity’s investment of $50 million in R&D of meaningful innovation across the platform, keeping every Insurity customer at the forefront of modern insurance technology.
Borealis: Removing Friction from High-Volume Insurance Work
Borealis
Release 2026
Policy administration shouldn’t feel like a maze of scrolling, clicking, and searching for required fields. Borealis redesigns key Policy Decisions experiences so information is easier to see, easier to understand, and faster to act on.
For customers working with high-volume schedules, Borealis introduces asynchronous importing for large vehicle and location schedules. Users can begin an import, continue working elsewhere in the system, and receive email notification when the import completes. Borealis also removes a common friction point by enabling large schedules created in Excel to be uploaded directly into Policy Decisions, eliminating the extra conversion step to XML and making schedule processing far more efficient.
Borealis introduces a set of UI enhancements in Policy Decisions that improve field placement, visual hierarchy, and overall usability. This significantly reduces the need for scrolling and makes required inputs easier to understand at a glance, especially on complex screens. This update reinforces accessibility by maintaining predictable reading and tab order for users of assistive technologies. For many customers, these changes can deliver 20% or more gains in efficiency and throughput by reducing cognitive load and speeding task completion.
Borealis also streamlines rating and configuration work with the Policy Decisions Rate File Wizard updates, allowing users to view Ratebook and Deviation Book tables directly within the tool. With improved navigation and stronger search capabilities, teams can locate and validate rate information faster without exporting to Excel just to review tables.
Advanced risk analysis should not require sacrificing visibility into your portfolio. Borealis enhances SpatialKey with new Quick Stats and Unique Value List pop-outs that allow users to create, move, resize, and edit analytical panels directly on the map while keeping policy and location data in view.
Your teams can analyze performance metrics and portfolio statistics without toggling between screens or losing context. This eliminates the tradeoff between data visibility and statistical insight, shortens advanced dashboard analysis time by 5–10%, and makes it easier to save, share, and act on decision-ready views. The result is faster financial insight where underwriting and portfolio decisions are actually made.
Advanced modeling shouldn’t require a full data science queue or a custom ML stack. Borealis introduces ForgeAI within Predict, a guided capability that allows actuarial and analytics teams to build and compare machine learning models without writing code or provisioning infrastructure.
Now you can upload a dataset, automatically test multiple commonly used ML approaches, and evaluate results using transparent performance metrics. ForgeAI makes early-stage model exploration faster and more credible by clearly surfacing model performance and key drivers in a structured workflow.
In Sure Claims, Borealis introduces a more controlled draft and approval workflow for on-demand letters and payments. Claim handlers can safely save, replace, and delete Word or PDF drafts using clear permission-based controls. Drafts are separated from published documents, reducing the risk of sending incomplete or incorrect files. Every action is fully tracked for audit purposes, and finalized letters can be properly aligned with indemnity payments to reduce rework.
In workers’ compensation, compliance and operational efficiency must move together. Borealis introduces updates that improve both usability and speed.
The Experience Mod Screen Updates add additional policy context and support grid persistence so users can choose which columns to display and save that configuration. This allows teams to tailor the view to their processing needs and make informed decisions faster.
Borealis also strengthens litigation readiness with new NOITIL (Notice of Intent to Initiate Litigation) management capabilities. A dedicated NOITIL tab centralizes pre-suit information, key dates, defense team assignments, and related records. Role-based permissions, automated alerts, and configurable business rules help teams stay ahead of deadlines while maintaining a clear audit trail. The result is more consistent handling, fewer missed actions, and stronger compliance posture.
AFTER
Borealis improves performance in Insurity Bridge Specialty Suite by revamping the ETL process to reduce processing time by up to 50%. This improvement helps teams move faster with fewer delays and a smoother overall experience.
Bridge Specialty: Faster Processing, Better Experience
Borealis also introduces a digital claim payment integration with One Inc, reducing the costs and operational burden associated with printing and mailing checks while expanding electronic payment options. The latest release completes key capabilities for the integration, including support for resending payment selection emails, recurring indemnity payments with saved payment methods, and tracking payments rejected by the claimant to deliver more flexibility and a smoother payment experience.
